A drop-in Wildflower Garden Tour is conducted each Wednesday morning during June, July and August.
Each Wednesday morning at 10:00am during June, July and August an informal guided tour of the award-winning Wildflower Garden is conducted at the Green Briar Nature Center & Jam Kitchen in East Sandwich. Stroll the paths of the one-third acre garden, which contains over 300 plants consisting of three zones: shaded hillside, freshwater wetland and open meadow. Each week offers visitors something new to discover. Whether in bloom or going to seed, the flowers are always changing. No reservations are required for this drop-in program. The fee of $5 members, $7 non-members, helps support the maintenance of this special garden.
Visitors are also invited to check out Green Briar's unique Mercantile, where jams and jellies produced here in the historic Jam Kitchen are offered for sale along with a wide variety of nature-related books, household items and gifts. All proceeds support the non-profit Thornton Burgess Green Briar Nature Center and its educational programs.
