“Synesthesia”: The Music-Inspired Portraits and Mindscapes of Lennie Peterson

Presented by the Cultural Center of Cape Cod from June 23-July 17, “Synesthesia”: The Music-Inspired Portraits and Mindscape of Lennie Peterson is a collection of art in many mediums. This exhibition will showcase Lennie’s ability to “see” music and translate the shapes, colors, and images of that music onto his canvas or paper. The exhibition, which will be presented in the Constantinidis Great Hall Gallery, has no admission fee. The Cultural Center will host an open house on Saturday, June 26, from 2-5pm. Visitors are also welcome to experience “All at Sea” paintings by Susan Carey Blue Room Gallery from June 23-July 17; “Gallery of Rogues,” a collection of oil paintings by Alice Mongeau, in the Saben Board Room Gallery from June 23-July17; “Reel Art” in the Vault from June 9- July 17; and “Cuba,” photography by Caroline Brodt, in the Education Wing from June 2-July 3. All are welcome! Gallery hours are Tuesday through Saturday from noon to 5pm. The Cultural Center is located at 307 Old Main Street in South Yarmouth. The Center's main parking lot is at the rear of the campus off Union Street, with overflow parking in the town lot on the corner of Old Main and Union Street or down Mill Street. The accessible parking spaces are near the accessible ramp entrance at the rear of the campus.
