Art Talk: About the Cahoon Museum

Please join us for the next talk in our “Quintessential Cape & Islands” Series, on Wednesday, May 26th at 7pm, “Art Talk: About the Cahoon Museum”. Cahoon Museum of American Art Executive Director Sarah Johnson takes you on a tour of this local arts and culture gem. Learn about the history of The Crocker House and Cape Cod artists Ralph and Martha Cahoon who lived and worked in the historic home. Johnson will share current and upcoming art exhibitions on view at this vibrant Cape Cod art museum. The cost of this and all programs in the series is $8.

Sarah Johnson is the Executive and Curator at the Cahoon Museum of American Art.  Sarah holds a PhD in Art History from the Graduate Center of the City University of New York and a BA in Art History from Pomona College in California. She has worked for more than twenty-five years in the museum field as an art historian, curator, and historic preservationist. Sarah has previously worked at the Museum of Modern Art, the Whitney Museum of American Art, and the Jacques Marchais Museum of Tibetan Art and has taught art history at the School of Visual Arts and Hunter College in New York City. Sarah lives in Falmouth with her husband and daughter.
