“When I first drove to Boston from my native Virginia, the words came right out of my mouth: ‘What the hell is a rotary?’ They became the first line to a song that was eventually played on Car Talk. How did that happen? Let’s talk about it. I can help you get there, give you ideas to stir the pot and challenge yourself. One song done well can stay with you forever, even when you’re ‘Driving in Massachusetts.’” Greg Greenway

A songwriter, singer, multi-instrumentalist, and producer, Greg has toured internationally. Choirs in the U.S. and Canada are singing his songs, sometimes with him in front. Originally from Richmond, Virginia, Greg passed through the eclectic crucible of the Boston Folk Music scene and has become one of its most unique and superlative emissaries. He was a founding member of Brother Sun, the highly successful harmony trio that scored two number one CDs on Folk Radio.

Greg is working on his ninth solo CD, along with three with Brother Sun and numerous collections. Jamplay.com enlisted him for a 34 lesson excursion into his beloved C9 tuning, and he has taught songwriting and performance all over the U.S. While he has performed at Carnegie Hall, been heard on NPR’s All Things Considered, World Cafe, and Mountain Stage, he lists the pinnacle of his career as being heard on Car Talk.
