In this fun and immersive pottery class, kids ages 8-12 will learn hand-building techniques and a step-by-step process for throwing on the wheel in a small group setting that allows for plenty of one-on-one time!
Presented by the Cultural Center of Cape Cod on six Tuesdays, beginning July 6, from 10am-noon. In this fun and immersive pottery class, kids ages 8-12 will learn hand-building techniques and a step-by-step process for throwing on the wheel in a small group setting that allows for plenty of one-on-one time! Students will participate in at least one throwing project including trimming, and two hand-building projects including lessons on surface designs such as sgraffito technique. Students will also gain knowledge about the firing and glazing processes. Their pieces will be microwave and dishwasher safe and will be available for pickup after final firing.
