Children ages 6-10 years old will use natural and “magical” materials to create their own miniature home for indoor fairies.
Presented by the Cultural Center of Cape Cod on Tuesday-Thursday, July 27, 28, and 29, from 9:30am-noon. Children ages 6-10 years old will use natural and “magical” materials to create their own miniature home for indoor fairies. They will plan, design and build a structure in this fun class that puts the A in STEM. With reeds and grapevines, they will construct walls, then finish them by weaving and attaching fibers, raffia and silk flowers. They may add a roof, loft or other additions. This STEAM class will give kids a chance to stretch their imaginations while using an amazing variety of materials to make fairy furniture, gardens or other comforts and accessories. On the final day, they will make the fairies to enjoy and play in their new home. Students will learn to use hot glue safely with permission. This class typically sells out. Please register early. $160/$145 for members. CDC protocols including social distancing and mask usage will be observed. To register, visit www.cultural-center.org or call 508-394-7100.
