Have you ever wanted to learn how to work with leather? Would you like to turn an old belt into a fun leather cuff bracelet? Come join Laura J Bouton and Andrea Tusé of LjBjewelry and learn how to create fun leather accessories!
Through class discussion and demonstration students will learn how to use various leather hand tools. Instructors will show how to stamp, draw, pierce, braid, attach hardware and dye veg-tanned leather. Students may also choose to work with repurposed leather from belts.
Projects will include various simple leather cuff bracelet designs as well as advanced leather bracelet projects with silver embellishments (intermediate metalsmith skill level is recommended for the advanced projects). Other projects include leather valet trays of various sizes and key chains.
This is a fun class is for both beginners and intermediate levels. There will be several different projects to choose from.

There is a $15.00 flat material fee which includes leather, hardware, dyes, copper and brass metals to be paid on first day of class.
Sterling silver is an extra cost and students can purchase sterling silver for their projects from the instructors if desired. The cost could range from $10-$50 depending on the silver required for their projects.
