APRIL (6, 13, 20, 27): Tuesdays, 3:30 – 5:00pm
Bookmaking and Artist Books with Antonia DaSilva, ages 11-14
The contents of a book can tell an infinite variety of stories. The way a book looks can be equally diverse. Unique, one-of-a-kind books are often referred to as artist books. They can take on unusual shapes and are sometimes even hard to recognize as a book! In this class, young artists will use simple materials to make their very own artist books. We will explore traditional bookmaking techniques as well as more experimental ones, creating books that look like plants, animals, or curious objects. After learning the technique to create each book structure, you can complete your book with stories, images, and more!
Interested participants may register by completing the online registration form on this page.
