Presented by the Cultural Center of Cape Cod on four Tuesdays starting April 6, from 10am-noon. Join Priscilla in this four-part series of essential elements of gardening. Starting with “Gardening 101” on April 6, she will give a comprehensive overview of gardening including the basics of garden design and installation, planting, pruning, and general overall garden maintenance. On April 13: Priscilla will present “Beautify Your Yard with Ornamental Trees,” chock full of information about how to identify existing trees on your property, new trees for landscape value, best planting practices, maintenance, and a list of trees available for their beauty and benefits to wildlife. On April 20, she’ll give participants “The 411 on Shrubs” by introducing a variety of flowering shrubs and exploring how to include shrubs in landscape designs and how to plant and maintain them. And finally, on April 27, “Now and Forever,” Priscilla will provide a focused approach to the art of gardening with both perennials and annuals, including instruction on how to achieve continuous flowers throughout the seasons, best planting practices, and maintenance.
