A collection of “paintings and sculptures that reflect some of the turbulence found in a growing feeling of disconnectedness.”
Presented by the Cultural Center of Cape Cod from March 24-April 24, Filipe Miguel’s “Social Dissonance” Exhibition is a collection of “paintings and sculptures that reflect some of the turbulence found in a growing feeling of disconnectedness even though we live in the age of connectedness. Social media has become our own personal echo chamber of self-absorption.” The exhibition, which will be presented in the Education Wing, has no admission fee. The Cultural Center will host an open house on Saturday, April 3, from 2-5pm. Visitors are also invited to experience “Into the Woods,” a national juried exhibition of artwork that showcases the personality of forests and their flora, in all four main galleries, March 31- April 24. All are welcome, but CDC protocols including social distancing and mask usage will be observed. Gallery hours are Tuesday through Saturday from noon to 5pm. The Cultural Center is located at 307 Old Main Street in South Yarmouth. For more information, visit www.cultural-center.org or call 508-394-7100.
