Ana Glig (Gligvashvili) is an award-winning concert pianist praised for her ability to “capture hearts” by Musical America. A recipient of Alfred Cortot’s prize for the best interpretation of romantic music, Glig has performed internationally in Europe and the United States in solo and chamber settings. As an orchestra soloist, Glig has debuted with Georgia and Israeli symphonic orchestras.
A native of Georgia, Glig’s first musical impressions trace back to her early childhood and Georgian polyphonic singing. Glig is a founder and artistic director of CCMoA’s MusArt Interconnections, which launched officially at Cape Cod Museum of Art in early 2020. MusArt stands for synthesis of music and art and promotes creation of new visual art inspired by live performance of classical music. Glig holds a Master’s degree in Piano Performance and Pedagogy from New School, Mannes School of Music and New York University (NYU Steinhardt), where she also worked as adjunct piano faculty. Currently, Glig lives on Cape Cod, where she performs, teaches and accompanies choir.
