There is a renewed interest in hand building these days! Many people have discovered they can make a variety of items by hand that cannot be made on the potter’s wheel. Using a combination of the hand building techniques, including pinching,coiling and slabs, we will make items for the home and garden. Projects will be provided, their techniques demonstrated and students are encouraged to put their own voice into the piece. Students are also welcome to create their own projects and will be supported with instruction. All levels of experience are welcome.

Tools will be provided although students are welcome to bring their favorites if they have them. Each student will receive a 25lb bag of clay that includes glazing and firing. Additional clay can be purchased from the studio.
Masks and social distancing are required.
