Brewster Cultural Council Seeks Funding Proposals

Brewster Cultural Council Seeks Funding Proposals

Presented by Brewster Cultural Council at Brewster Cultural Council

The Brewster Cultural Council welcomes grant proposals for community-oriented arts, humanities, and science programs that will serve members of our community or the Lower / Outer Cape as a whole. Organizations, schools, and individuals are urged to apply. These grants can support a variety of artistic projects and activities, including exhibits, festivals, field trips, workshops, lectures, and short-term artist residencies or performances in schools. Besides the intrinsic merit of the project, the Brewster Cultural Council takes into consideration whether the applicant is from Brewster, whether the project involves Brewster residents, whether the project takes place in Brewster or is easily accessible to Brewster residents, and if the project is of benefit to underserved members of our community.

Activities must occur between January 1, 2021 and December 31, 2021.

Applications have been extended to December 14.

Applicants must submit an application through the Massachusetts Cultural Council at: https://www.mass-culture.org/lcc_public_applicant_process.aspx.

The Local Cultural Council Program is the largest grassroots cultural funding network in the nation, supporting thousands of community-based projects in the arts, sciences and humanities every year. The state legislature provides an annual appropriation to the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency, which then allocates funds to each community. The Town of Brewster provides funding support to the Cultural Council through the annual operating budget as well.
