This is a 6 week online class using the Zoom platform.

This class will build your understanding of design and composition through fundamental studies. The primary elements and forces of composition will be explored based on the Bauhaus Foundation Course. The task is always to activate the surface. After each study is complete, the class will analyze the work, discussing the impact different compositions impose.

I took this class with Ati Gropius Johansen. She was the daughter of Walter Gropius, Bauhaus architect, and she studied under Josef Albers at Black Mountain College.
