Postponed: The Wood Fire Experience with Seth Rainville

Postponed: The Wood Fire Experience with Seth Rainville

Presented by Falmouth Art Center at Falmouth Art Center

We are thrilled to be one of the only programs on the Cape offering access to a wood kiln! Seth Rainville has been busy building a wood kiln at the home studio of Deb Hutchins (Former beginning student at FAC) where we will be firing in week 8 of the session. Demonstrations and advanced education in the process will occur each week including throwing, handbuilding, slip work and glazing. A wide variety of forms will be demonstrated and discussed with a focus on suitability for the process of wood firing. Students must be willing to assist in the loading and firing of the kiln on weeks 8 and 9 with a ceremonious unloading party on week 10! Firing and materials fees are included in the cost of the class. Don’t miss this rare opportunity!

**  Please note: an additional fee of $75 is to be paid directly to Deborah Hutchins, owner of the wood fire kiln that is being used for the class.
