The Cape Cod Museum of Natural History and Sustainable Practices will host an opening reception with artist Suzanna Nickerson for her exhibit “Beach Trash” in the Museum’s Naturescape Gallery Friday, March 13, 2020 from 6:30pm-8:00pm.
We invite the Cape community to a wine and cheese reception with the artist sponsored by Sustainable Practices. The event will offer the opportunity for community members to meet and engage on our common responsibility of environmental protection. A silent auction and informal discussion with local environmental experts will be featured. A list of experts in attendance will be announced by March 1 on Sustainable Practices’ website.
Suzanna grew up in Chatham in an artistic family with little formal training and describes her artwork as “primitive”. As an environmental advocate, she is passionate about protecting the natural beauty of the Cape and has devoted her artistic expression to beach trash art as a means to increase the understanding of the adverse human impact of plastic use on the Cape.
Sustainable Practices is a Cape-wide environmental advocacy nonprofit organization. For more information on Sustainable Practices see https://sustainablepracticesltd.org. For more information please contact Madhavi Venkatesan, PhD at 917-496-0440 or by email
