Rich Youmans & Alice Kociemba will read poetry celebrating love of all kinds, on Saturday, February 15, 2020, 3:00 pm, at the Woods Hole Public Library, A themed open mic follows.
Rich Youmans and Alice Kociemba met through Calliope—and the rest, as they say is history. Rich will be reading from his chapbook, Head On: Haibun Stories (Red Bird Chapbooks, 2018). Bob Lucky, in a review of Head-On, wrote, “There’s not one haibun in this chapbook that couldn’t be used to teach a master class.”
Alice will read new poems, as well as those from her poetry collection, Bourne Bridge (Turning Point, 2016). She is the founding director of Calliope: Poetry for Community and hosts “Poetic License,” a monthly open mic at FCTV.
They now live in North Falmouth and are currently, along with Robin Smith-Johnson, editing an anthology titled From the Farther Shore: Discovering Cape Cod and the Islands Through Poetry; it will be published later this year by Bass River Press, an imprint of the Cultural Center of Cape Cod.
