Jazz til Dawn, featuring Michael Dunford on drums, Doug Ricciardi on bass and Fred Boyle on Piano will pay tribute to the late Billie Holiday, also referred to as Lady Day. In 1959 a woman named Eleanor Fagan passed away leaving us her soul, style and legacy better known as Billie Holiday. Local Jazz vocalist, Mozelle Andrulot, inherited her passion and expression for her songs.
Mozelle Andrulot grew up in Eastham and attended Lesley University where she studied Performing Arts. Her career has taken her to New York City and London where she performed at the SoHo House in both cities.
Here on the Cape, she’s performed at Mahoney’s, Tin Pan Alley, The Muse and Bootleggers in Provincetown. Most recently with Doug Ricciardi’s Jazz til Dawn at The Well Tavern, Duck Creek Inn in Wellfleet.
She has graced the stage with local notable jazz artists Bruce Abbot, Fred Fried, and John Thomas.
This local jazz jewel is so excited to share her talent with the audience at Preservation Hall accompanied by Percussionist Mike Dunford, Pianist Fred Boyle and Bassist Doug Ricciardi.
Enjoy these talented musicians perform the stellar, timeless work of Lady Day in the warm, intimate setting of our Hall!
