Seeing Red

Presented by Cultural Center of Cape Cod at Cultural Center of Cape Cod

Artists worldwide are invited to submit work that depicts the color red. From cave paintings to modern day, red has been used throughout history to create powerful works of art. Representing strong emotions like love, passion, fear, and anger. It’s meaning and roles hold a significant amount of symbolism and psychology. It is used to warn of impending danger, it represents life and sacrifice as the color of our blood, it is used to strike fear in the enemy, and to empower and dominate. Red can say so much, what does Seeing RED mean to you? This exhibit will be hung in the Owl Hall and Connector Hallway in the Education Wing. All media will be considered except film.

ELIGIBILITY
This call is open to artists worldwide, both amateur and professional.

ENTRY FEE
$20 for first entry/$5 for each additional entry, you may enter up to 20 total. Payment is non-refundable and does not guarantee acceptance.

Parking Info

The Center's main parking lot is at the rear of the campus off Union Street, with overflow parking in the town lot on the corner of Old Main and Union Street or down Mill Street. The accessible parking spaces are near the accessible ramp entrance at the rear of the campus.
