Four workshops that explore and expand on Abstract Painting:

This four-part series can be taken as singular classes or can be taken all together as an advanced Concentration in Abstract painting. Each workshop will focus on an overall theme with correlating exercises.

January 25th: “Comfort in Ambiguity”

February 22nd: “Working in a Series”

March 28th: “Emotional Color”

April 25th: “Mark Making- A Personal Visual Lexicon” 

Each workshop is designed for Abstract painters interested in exploring more deeply the fundamental elements that come together to create a successful and meaningful abstract painting. Several exercises will be given to help initiate and inspire authenticity in each artist’s own personal painting voice. Hands-on demonstrations, techniques, compositional principles, and color theories will be explored and discussed. Drawing, Painting, and collage materials will be used to invite play and discovery. These intense, concentrated workshops emphasize creating and exploring the process of making abstract art work. Be prepared to paint and work on several pieces. BRING AN APRON OR WEAR AN OLD SHIRT!!!!
