2nd Wednesday Theater: a monthly play-reading of rarely-performed classics, undiscovered gems, old chestnuts, and exciting new works.

The Second Wednesday Reading Series at Cotuit Center for the Arts will feature the cult classic “The Bad Seed” on October 9 at 7:30 pm. In this spellbinding chronicle of evil, whatever little Rhoda Penmark wants, she ruthlessly gets, creating an indelible portrait of evil that wears an innocent face. Over the years, the play that was once a best-selling book, became a Broadway hit, and then a Hollywood success, nominated for several Academy Awards.

Many of Cotuit’s most popular actors will appear in what director Jo Brisbane describes as “an enhanced reading” of “The Bad Seed”. All audience members will receive special tricky treats and there will be door prizes.
