According to event coordinator Todd Herrmann, “The planners of the Village Concert Series within the Sandwich Arts Alliance strive to bring together an intriguing, high-caliber, diverse set of performers and performances to the Upper Cape in the beautiful Sandwich village setting that might otherwise require travel to Boston or New York.”

Upper Structure was founded in 2015 at Berklee College of Music. In 2018, they released their first studio album, Bridges. Shortly after the release, their rendition of She Used to Be Mine from the Sara Bareillis Broadway hit musical “Waitress” was recognized on the Best of Collegiate A Cappella 2018 album and their entire album was nominated for a CARA (Contemporary A Cappella Recording Awards), a top honor for this category. In addition to these awards, they finished second place overall at the International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella Finals in 2018. In 2019, they released their sophomore album, Second Wind, and traveled to Hong Kong and will travel to Beijing.
