Join Sturgis Library as we read Slaughterhouse Five cover to cover to celebrate the fiftieth anniversary of its publication. Readers and listeners welcome!
Readers will sign up to read for 5-10 minutes each throughout the day, depending on the number of participants.
We are excited to welcome special guests Edie Vonnegut, daughter of Kurt Vonnegut; Julia Whitehead of the Vonnegut Museum & Library in Indianapolis, IN; Marc Leeds, author of the Vonnegut Encyclopedia: An Authorized Compendium; and Pat LaMarche, author and activist, and host of a series of interviews with Vonnegut’s friends and colleagues.

After the marathon, join us for a cocktail party at 5:30 pm featuring wine and cheese, beer, soft drinks, and a sampling of Vonnegut’s favorite drink. A $10 donation is suggested for the cocktail party.
