Talented artists from across the region will be setting up easels along the streets and byways of Sandwich to paint or draw their favorite scene and to share the experience with the public. Plein Air 2019 is the third annual plein air event sponsored by the Sandwich Arts Alliance taking place Friday, July 12th from 8 am to 1 pm.  Artists, wearing bright green aprons to help the public find them, will be painting or sketching "en plein air" (outside) at a location in town of their own choosing. That evening from 5-7 pm, a reception and silent auction will be held at The Sagamore Inn Restaurant, 1131 Sagamore Rd, Sagamore, where the public is invited to view the finished artwork, meet the artists, and bid on their favorite pieces. The entire day is meant to be casual, fun and most of all, to unite the public and the art community here in Sandwich and on Cape Cod.
