Capt. Bangs Hallet House marine exhibit
The Captain Bangs Hallet House Museum will showcase the original marine paintings and nautical artifact collection dating to the 1800s of Ryan Cooper of Yarmouth Port. The authentically furnished Yarmouth Port sea captain’s house represents the history of the Victorian era and seafaring days to the Far East in the 1800s. The museum also has an 18th century furnished kitchen.
Docent guided tours are at 1, 2 and 3 p.m. Admission $5. Free to students and Yarmouth residents, Historical Society of Old Yarmouth and active-duty military perseonnel. The museum, on Strawberry Lane on the Yarmouth Port Common, is open 1 to 4 p.m. Thursday through Sunday until Oct. 13.
