Local Lens Film Screening: "FARMER OF THE YEAR" at Wellfleet Preservation Hall

Presented by Wellfleet Preservation Hall and Buffalo Ridge Productions Present at Wellfleet Preservation Hall

After selling the Minnesota family farm eighty-three year old Hap Anderson just feels old and in the way. He tries to recapture his youth by road tripping with his unemployed granddaughter in a dilapidated Winnebago to his WWII reunion while desperately trying to find a date to impress his old army buddies.

"Swanson's screenplay avoids sentimentality, achieving instead the kind of gentle, humanistic comedy we rarely see these days in movie theaters"                                                                    Margot Harrison in SevenDaysVT and RottenTomatoes

"FARMER OF THE YEAR" has won audience awards at Sedona, Minneapolis/St. Paul and Woods Hole Film Festivals and has been in limited release at select venues across the country.
