Poet (and two-time FAWC Fellow) Ari Banias reads at the Fine Arts Work Center.
Ari Banias is the author of Anybody (W.W. Norton, 2016), which was named a finalist for the Kate Tufts Discovery Award and the PEN Center USA Literary Award. His work has appeared in various journals, and he has presented poems at the Guggenheim in conjunction with the Agnes Martin retrospective, and at the Whitney Museum with the exhibition Blues for Smoke. He is the recipient of fellowships from the MacDowell Colony, NYFA, the Wisconsin Institute for Creative Writing, Stanford University, and the Fine Arts Work Center. Ari works with small press books and teaches poetry in the Bay Area. His most recent chapbook, A Symmetry, was published by The Song Cave in 2018.
