The Falmouth Art Center is partnering with Falmouth Public Library on an exhibit in conjunction with this year’s Falmouth Reads Together selection, “The Little Prince.”
Receiving for works in all media inspired by the classic novel is on Friday, February 22, from 9:30am to 4pm at the Falmouth Art Center. The show is open to members of the Falmouth Art Center. Works can be in any media and must meet the Falmouth Art Center’s exhibition guidelines. You can read the guidelines here.
The show will be displayed at Falmouth Public Library in the month of March 2019.
To help artists with inspiration, local poet Alice Kociemba has put together some quotes from the book that are meant to inspire artists to create work for the exhibit. The quotes are at the front desk of the Falmouth Art Center. Feel free to drop by the Falmouth Art Center, look through the quotes and take one for inspiration!
In addition to adult work, the exhibit will include work by children in the February School Vacation Week camp at the Falmouth Art Center. The first day of the art camp, instructor Andrea Moore will lead students in a print-making session inspired by “The Little Prince.” Pieces made during this session will also go in the exhibit at the Falmouth Public Library.
