 Saturday, February 16 • 1pm • The Museum reopens for the 2019 season with The East Coast Therapy Dogs!

February’s theme is Magic & Wizardry! Free with Museum Admission

Sunday, February 17 • 1pm ~ Mad Science presents Fire & Ice   

Members $8 / Non-Members $10 Tickets available online at www.ccmnh.org.
Children will be dazzled and entertained as they learn about the properties of fire and combustion. Then, cool off with amazing demonstrations in a foggy dry ice storm and special Mad Science “burp” potion! Join us for this live, interactive and spectacular educational experience!

Monday, February 18 • 11am-3pm ~ Attention All Muggles, Witches and Wizards!

A multitude of Harry Potter-esque activities for all ages. Create and take home your own snowy owl, magic wand, and house flag! Test your skills on the Quidditch field and your knowledge with a Harry Potter trivia game!

Free with Museum Admission

AT 2PM:  Meet Adam Howard , Emmy award-winning special effects wizard of over 130 films including Harry Potter, Star Wars and Star Trek,! $5 per person at the door!

Tuesday, February 19 • 11:30am-2pm ~ Mixology: Chemistry for Kids! Mix up a potion!

Wednesday, February 20• 11:30am • The Magic of Horseshoe Crabs with Dan Gibson Free with Museum Admission
Did you know that horseshoe crabs have magical powers? They see with 10 eyes above, below, sideways and behind! They have blood cells that creep, pounce, and kill bacteria AND they are older than the dinosaurs! Join horseshoe crab expert Dan Gibson and our very own Creature Feature starring horseshoe crabs of all ages!

Wednesday - Friday: Make frozen bubbles, marshmallow snowflakes, and be sure to check out the Harry Potter candy in our Museum Shop!

Thursday, February 21 ~11:30am • Nature Screen presents: The Magic of Motion Free with Museum Admission
Most animals, and even a few plants, move. They swim, walk, run, or fly in a wide range of ways. In this program, Curiosity Stream looks at how designers, of planes, cars, and robots have found inspiration in nature to solve some of man’s greatest challenges, where nature and technology stand hand-in-hand.

Saturday February 16 ~ Sunday, February 24th ~ 11am-2pm ~ Nature Screen presents Magic of the Snowy Owl continuous every 50 minutes in The John Hay Room ~ Free with Museum Admission

A team of intrepid filmmakers provides an intimate look at the snowy owl, a bird made popular by Harry Potter’s faithful companion, Hedwig. Though “snowies’ are beautiful, intelligent and charming, in their eerie, bleak arctic home, it is their determination and survival skills that are truly magical.
