The third annual celebration of BURNS NIGHT at the 1717 Meetinghouse! This time: on the 260th anniversary of the birth of the Scottish Bard.
Burns Night, or Burns Supper, has been celebrated since the early 19th century to honor the legendary National Poet of Scotland, Robert "Rabbie" Burns. Join us on Burns's 260th birthday, January 25, 2019 for music: Sarah Ford Marchio on the Highland pipes, Joe Marchio on the Meetinghouse's magnificent Mander organ, Joy Indomencio on Celtic harp, and Don Rockwood on sing-along piano--for words: Greg Williams, with some special guests, offering narration and the poetry of Robert Burns--and for hearty Scottish fare, including the dreaded haggis!
Suggested donation is $15.00; $10.00 for 1717 Meetinghouse Foundation members, students, and those under 18.
