The Falmouth Chorale, a mixed chorus of 80 active singers, is holding Voice Placement Sessions for new singers on Monday, January 14, 2019. Voice placements start at 5:00 PM, by appointment, at John Wesley United Methodist Church, 270 Gifford Street, Falmouth. These sessions are necessary to determine vocal range, tone quality, and musical ear.

Joining the Chorale offers a chance to work on creative, challenging pieces of music under the dynamic and seasoned leadership of Artistic Director John Yankee. Rehearsals are held on Tuesday evenings from 7:00 – 9:30PM, beginning January 15 at John Wesley United Methodist Church.

The next Falmouth Chorale concert will feature the Mozart Requiem with soloists and orchestra—a favorite masterwork of both singers and audiences.  Performances will be held on Saturday, March 16, 4:00 PM and Sunday, March 17, 3:00 PM, at Falmouth Academy’s Simon Center for the Arts. The Chorale will also sing, on May 4 and 5, its annual “a-little-light-music concert,” this year celebrating the out-of-doors in song and featuring folk artist Malcolm Dalglish.
