A Taste of Eastern European Chamber Music at Sandwich Town Hall
Classical musicians "Monika Woods and Friends" will perform on Saturday evening, November 10th at Sandwich Town Hall from 7-9 pm. This is the second presentation in the four-part Village Concert Series sponsored by the Sandwich Arts Alliance. Tickets are $25/$10 students and may be purchased at www.sandwichartsalliance.org or at Splash Stationers on Route 6A in Sandwich.
Joining Monika for the concert are Trio Vivo consisting of flutist Mariellen Sears, saxophonist Bruce Abbott and pianist Lucy Banner in addition to violinist Dan Flonta and pianist Ana Glig.
A sample of the Eastern European pieces that will be performed are “Three Hungarian Folksongs” and “Romanian Dances” by Bartok and Dvorzak’s “Slavonic Dance op. 72 no.2”.
