Join Odin in a series of sessions that change their directive each month and are devoted to working in a smaller and more intensive learning environment, to improve specific artistic skills.
November’s Fearless Painter will be about exploring the depth and beauty in shadows. When was the last time you really looked at a shadow? In this session, students will be identifying the makeup of a shadow, and finding properties such as reflected color and light. They will gain an understanding in the difference between form shadow and cast shadow and how to use warms and cools to bring their shadows to life and give them the transparency they deserve!!
Please be prepared with your own reference material, including some good photos with beautiful shadows or a still life object to work from, paints, brushes, all supplies and any size canvases.
These classes are designed to help artists to become more confident in their own skills and bring a sense of self and creativity to their own work. Taking risks will be encouraged! Must be on an intermediate to advanced level, and must have their own acrylic supplies, including canvases.
