The Cape Cod Museum of Natural History in Brewster presents their popular series Lunch & Learn on Friday, October 5, 2018 at 11:30am with Jonathan Wright.
Join author, poet and photographer Jonathan Wright for an illustrated lecture and readings from his latest book of poetry, Season of Dreams, Two Weeks Alone in the Peaked Hill Dunes.
This journey into the broad seascape and minute natural details reflects the writer’s two-week solo residency in the Peaked Hill Dunes in the late spring of 2017, when the sun rises and sets into the open Atlantic. The storms are as startling as the sky and the sand formations; the colors of sky and sand and water and land are in full blaze. Walking with no constraint, other than being back by dark and keeping the camera dry, offers insight and whiff of liberation. Join Jonathan reading from his inspired poems and stunning photographs.
Jonathan Wright’s upcoming book Spirit of the Makers will be published by Ecotone Press in 2019. His journalism has spanned several decades, and in 2018 his poetry and photograph collection Season of Dreams joined the 2014 poetry collection After the Rain. Jonathan is a US Rowing certified sculling coach, consults on sustainability, and lives in Northampton, MA
