Tai Chi for Health at Cape Cod Museum of Art

Tuesdays, July 24 – August 28 from 9 – 10 am

$75 Non Members / $70 CCMoA Members

The class will include the six basic forms which will be the basis for a home practice. The entire practice may be done standing as well as seated.  Tai Chi movements are slow and gentle but very powerful when practiced over time.

 

Students should wear comfortable clothing and bring a water bottle. Very thin, flexible soled shoes are best or socks with non-slip bottoms should be worn. If you have any concerns, please check with your Doctor before participating.

 

Holly Heaslip currently holds four certifications in teaching Tai Chi. “Tai Chi for Healthy Aging” from Brookline Tai Chi in Boston which was implemented through the Tufts Health Plan Foundation,“Tai Ji Quan: Moving for Better Balance”, from the Oregon Research Institute, Tai Chi for Arthritis and Tai Chi for Arthritis Fall Prevention from the Tai Chi for Health Institute Dr. Paul Lam.  She has been teaching in facilities throughout the Cape for several years.

Hours are 10 am to 5 pm Tues through Sat and noon to 5 pm on Sunday.  The Galleries are open on ARTfull Thursdays from 5 – 8 with no admission fee.  General Admission is $9, $7 for seniors and students 19+ with school ID, $5 for students 13 to 18, and free for children 12 & under.
