Fiction Writing Class at Sturgis Library

Wednesdays September 12th-Dec 12th. 6:00 to 7:30PM

Funded by a generous grant from the Arts Foundation of Cape Cod, Sturgis Library will be hosting an intro to fiction writing class Wednesday nights from Sept 12th through Dec 12th, 6 to 7:30 PM (except the first Wednesday of each month). Classes will cover character creation, plotting, genre, language, regionalism, setting, and publication. In addition to workshops, visiting authors will give readings from their work.  Adults and young adults welcome. Reading Materials will be provided.

Corey Farrenkopf (the teacher) is the Adult Services Librarian at Sturgis Library. He received a BA and M.Ed from UMASS Amherst focusing on creative writing and  education. His fiction has appeared in JMWW, Blue Earth Review, Hawaii Pacific Review, Gravel, and elsewhere. He is represented by Marie Lamba of the Jennifer DeChiara Literary Agency.
