A fine arts Invitational featuring the works of 30 artists of local, national and international renown, curated around an individual and collective investigation into what may constitute best practices in the world of fine art.
Nearly every professional industry discusses best practices; now is the time for the arts industry to weigh in. There is no greater agent for social change than that which art provides. For the sake of those who come after us, teaching the children well is the core reason for best practices; the best artists of today are the ones who are actively tilling future ground.
In this show, thirty artists and one curator embrace future generations with works and words that are emblematic of their own best practices as arts professionals. A daring and evocative show, Best Practicesattempts to blend technical mastery with clear ethical ideals into an interactive construct that addresses some of the universal concerns we currently face, with an ever-present urge toward remediation and progress.
