Five Tuesdays - July 3, 10, 17, 24, 31, 2018
Join Odin in a series of sessions that change their directive each month and are devoted to working in a smaller and more intensive learning environment, to improve specific artistic skills.
In July we will be working to increase our skills in the use of different brushstrokes. Students will discover how using different techniques in the application of paint will achieve very different visual effects, including new ways to blend different colors. They will explore using loose strokes for a more painterly look to their work, and smooth strokes to achieve a seamless blend of color. Learn how using different ways of holding the brush as well as the changing of pressure on the brush can create interesting and unique developments in the outcome of a painting.
Please be prepared with your own brushes well as reference material and any size canvases and other supplies. This class meets in Odin’s studio on the upper level of the Education Wing.
