“Michael and Pete are experts with a long history of publishing. Pete grew up in the business where his whole family was involved in creating new works. He’s extremely dynamic and very accessible”, offered Kathryn Kleekamp, event Emcee and local author.

Schiffer Publishing Inc. has 6,000 titles in print across a diverse range of subjects from antiques and collectibles, to contemporary arts and artists, pop and fringe culture, as well as books for children. With decades of experience, Pete Schiffer is an invaluable resource for writers and readers alike.

Michael Grossman has appeared on national radio and TV shows including Arthur Frommer’s Travel Channel and NBC-TV’s New York City affiliate. His articles have been published in consumer and trade magazines on diverse topics ranging from green living, ethics, travel marketing to flying.

“In addition to the many published writers on Cape Cod, there are also many writers new to the craft who are ready to explore avenues for expanding their message”, added Kleekamp. “This event will introduce them to the possibilities for publication, the perils and pitfalls of print media, and the sources available for help.”

Established writers will also see opportunities for exploring a new genre, self-publishing, and establishing an on-line presence.  For the avid reader, there will be a host of new titles and writers to explore. This event is one of the Alliance’s most requested programs.

Local authors Glyn Dowden, Terri Arthur, Carolyn LeComte and Kathryn Kleekamp will also be in attendance to share their experiences in getting published.
