Film and Discussion: Living While Dying

Film and Discussion: Living While Dying

Presented by Cotuit Library at Cotuit Library

"Death kept showing up," says filmmaker Cathy Zheutlin. "So I picked up a camera to document my friends with terminal illnesses, and sought the advice of a death walker and Aboriginal elder in Australia. Now death prompts my conversations with my beloved 91-year-old mom, regarding her wishes at the end of life." The film, Living While Dying is a wholehearted look at vulnerability and courage as baby boomers reclaim conscious dying. Join filmmaker Cathy Zheutlin this afternoon for a 45-minute documentary film screening, a personal journey alongside four of her friends with terminal illnesses, followed by a candid conversation about facing our mortality.
