These days, Galicia is one of Spain’s most amazing regions to visit and its combination of spectacular beaches, rich culture and hearty cuisine make it one of the country’s true undiscovered gems. Wine-making in Rías Baixas dates back thousands of years, but only during the past few decades has the region established a global reputation as a producer of top quality wines from its signature grape, Albariño. We will eat pimentos de padron with calamari, gambas al ajillo, charred octopus with peaches and arugula and finish with cheeses from The Chatham Cheese Company. We will sip on Loueiro, Treixadura and of course Albarino.
This class meets in the Culinary Arts Center in the Education Wing.
