June Art Show and Reception

Presented by Brewster Ladies' Library at Brewster Ladies' Library

Deborah E. Blackman Jacobs is an impressionist/representational painter whose work may be characterized as visual interpretation of people and the environment. Her paintings have been rendered in oil paint, acrylics, watercolor, encaustic, gouache and mixed media.

Deborah has studied at Massachusetts College of Art and Design in Boston, Newton Arts Center, Chatham Creative Arts Center, Provincetown Art Association and Museum and Cape Cod Art Center. She has shown her work at the Brewster Ladies’ Library, Provincetown Art Association and Museum, Cape Cod Museum of Art, Women Creating, Cape Cod Artisans Gallery, Lemon Tree Village, Brookline and Newton Open Studios, Little Gorgeous Things, Thorndike Street Gallery, and the Herring Run Studio Gallery. Her work is currently displayed in collections in the U.K., Canada, Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, New York, Boston, and throughout New England.

Deborah has studied with many illustrious and accomplished instructors, including Ruth Kates, Robert Douglas Hunter, Robert Mesrop, Rosalie Nadeau, Jim Peters, Charles Sovek and Alvaro Castagnet. She is a Docent at the Cape Cod Museum of Art and the Crosby Mansion.

The public is invited to meet the artist at a reception at the Library on Saturday, June 16 from 3:30 to 5:00 p.m.
