Deb has now dedicated her life to teaching art and art therapy to students from a wide range of backgrounds.
Debra Hope Colligan is a graduate of the prestigious Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts and a lifelong artist. She began her career in New York City in the music industry while also painting portraits of the famous rock stars who became her close friends. She left city life and continued her painting career in upstate New York, where she was an avid equestrian. After a riding accident in 2004, she received a traumatic brain injury that required her to spend years in recovery. Horses remain a constant source of inspiration in her art and healing for soul. Along with her art career, Deb has now dedicated her life to teaching art and art therapy to students from a wide range of backgrounds. The exhibition includes her equestrian paintings as well as the work of her students.
