Discussion leader: Alice Kociemba. Common Threads is a publication of 7-10 poems by Massachusetts poets chosen by a Massachusetts poet (by Alan Feldman in 2018), with a guide to reading and discussing the poems, videos of the poems being read (by the poets themselves when possible), and outreach to libraries, senior centers, book clubs, and more, to facilitate 350 poetry discussion groups throughout the state in an effort to broaden the audience for poetry. One of those discussions will take place at the Cultural center of Cod, led by Falmouth poet and Calliope founder Alice Kociemba. The 2018 theme is Born to Be Lonely: Massachusetts Poets on Connection and Disconnection. To access more information and a free PDF of the 2018 Common Threads poems, please visit http://www.masspoetry.org/commonthreads/ This event is free and open to all.
