Author Mary Howland Smoyer will tell us the stories of women who have been honored with statues in Boston and Cape Cod. She is co-author of The Boston Women’s Heritage Trail.
Celebrating Women’s History Month, the Guild of the Cape Cod Museum of Art is honored to present a talk with author Mary Howland Smoyer. Smoyer will tell the stories of women who have been honored with statues in Boston -- Harriet Tubman. Anne Hutchinson, Mary Dyer, Abigail Adams. Lucy Stone, Phillis Wheatley, and on Cape Cod -- Rachel Carson, Mercy Otis Warren, and Katherine Bates.
Smoyer is the co-author of Boston Women's Heritage Trail, a guide to places and information about women who have played an important role in the city’s history.
A reception with light refreshments will follow the talk.
