Hands On Photo Lab: Making Selects From a Shoot with Ed Grossman

Hands On Photo Lab: Making Selects From a Shoot with Ed Grossman

Presented by Cultural Center of Cape Cod at Cultural Center of Cape Cod

You’ve just returned from a shoot and copied a lot of photos to your computer. Now what? This class will give you both an introduction to and hands on experience with filtering images and organizing them by the choices you make. Using preselected example images, teaching points will include:

-The basics of image organization

-Dividing the photos into coherent, manageable chunks

-Comparing images and making selects

-Organizing the photos as “keepers”, “maybes”, and “no ways”

-Revisiting your choices at a later date

This session will run for 90 minutes and the number of students is limited to enable more personal interaction with the instructor. The Cultural Center will provide the example photos, computers, and software for this session. Participants should have already installed and gained a working familiarity with a photo browser application on their own prior to taking this course. While Adobe Bridge will be used for the class, the process is one that can be replicated with other software programs.
