Jazz pianist Laszlo Gardony kicks off the spring Woods Hole Jazz series on February 21st at 7:30 PM
It is unusual to find a jazz pianist who has top-level classical training and a strong jazz pedigree. Laszlo Gardony graduated from the Bela Bartok Conservatory and the ELTE Science University in his native Hungary before winning a full scholarship to the Berklee College of Music, where he joined the faculty shortly after graduation. Since then, he has performed in 27 countries and released a dozen albums. His new solo piano album Serious Play was named one of the 10 Best Jazz Albums of 2017 by the Boston Globe, and received 4-star reviews in Down Beat, All About Jazz, Jazz Journal and other major jazz magazines. Mr. Gardony kicked off the fall Woods Hole Jazz series with a sold out performance in the West Falmouth Library.
Tickets are $25 and can be purchased online at www.WoodsHoleJazz.org or in person at Homespun Garden on Main Street in Falmouth or Under the Sun in Woods Hole.
