6 Tuesday classes: 2/20, 2/27, 3/6, 3/13, 3/20, 3/27. This class will work with students individually and as a group to understand the basic aspects of color: hue, saturation, and value as they pertain to obtaining color harmony in your work. Classes will concentrate on the particular challenges of brushwork, composition and edge control to your work and add drama, intrigue and interest. Specific attention will be on looking at the relationship of color to depth and space in a painting, and concentrate as well on how to mix color to add dimension and depth to paintings. We will also look at mediums and tools to help in this investigation.
