Do you enjoy practicing Spanish and learning about the culture of Latin America and Spain? If so, come talk music, food and drink, art, and more! Basic conversation skills are preferred, but it’s okay to learn as you go. Each month focuses on a different topic. This month: The Art of the Fresco. Pedro Boardman will share talk about and share images of the journey that led him to pursue this unique art form: from the "frontera" through San Miguel de Allende and on into Mexico City, visiting various frescos along the way. He will showcase classic examples of the ancient art of "Buon Fresco," Mexican style, of ongoing projects, and of his recent meeting with the top fresco restorers in Mexico City. The Center's main parking lot is at the rear of the campus off Union Street, with overflow parking in the town lot on the corner of Old Main and Union Street or down Mill Street. The accessible parking spaces are near the accessible ramp entrance at the rear of the campus.
