"Cape Cod Brothers" - Photography by David and Gary Mutti

at Maser Gallery

Photography by brothers David and Gary Mutti will be on display at the Maser Gallery at Falmouth Community Television from November 1 through December 4, 2015. The public is invited to attend the Opening Reception, Sunday, November 1, from 3:00-5:00pm.

David Mutti was born in Tampa, Florida in 1952 and traveled extensively with his Airforce parents. They finally settled in Marlboro, Massachusetts where David attended high school. There he excelled in art and entered the “Boston Globe Show” for young artists. He received one Gold Key and four Blue Ribbon Awards. This led to acceptance into the Boston Museum School’s summer sessions, then into the regular Boston Museum School. He later transferred to the Montserrat College of Art in Beverly, Massachusetts.

David fell in love with the natural beauty of Cape Cod and after moving to the area, began to use his artistic talents in the culinary arts. He worked his way up from line cook to chef and owner of a local restaurant. He is now a semi-retired chef working for the Falmouth Service Center. There he prepares meals and runs the kitchen for “Falmouth Eats Together,” a twice-monthly public menu. Over the years, his love of photography and art never left him. Of his many and varied photographs he says, “My true love is photography, and I’m excited to share my results. I hope everyone enjoys seeing them as much as I enjoyed taking them.”

Gary Mutti was born in Marlboro, Massachusetts. Gary became a chef after studying the culinary arts at Johnson & Wales University in Rhode Island. Starting as a corporate chef, Gary went on to run his own restaurant and gourmet food shop while raising a family. Upon retirement, Gary moved to the Cape and, like his brother, fell in love with everything Cape Cod. “Together with my brother, Dave, I have spent many hours exploring the towns and walking the beaches of the Cape,” says Gary, “and of course, taking photographs.”

Maser Gallery Exhibit Hours: Sunday 2-10 p.m.; Monday 2-10 p.m.; Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 10-10 p.m.; Friday 10-6 p.m.; Saturday – Closed.
